Where to Register as a Homeschooler in BC
Under Sec. 13 of the BC School Act, you must register your intent to homeschool by September 30th of each year. You can register at any BC public school of your choice, including public Online Learning schools. You may also register through any of the participating independent schools or independent Online Learning schools in BC.
You can leave the BC school system at any point of the year but you must register as homeschooled at that time if you are under 16 years old.
When registering with a public school, you can use this template to notify the school.
This alphabetical listing of independent schools willing to process a homeschool registration is for your convenience. Always confirm with the school(s) you contact that they are indeed registering homeschoolers as we cannot guarantee that this list is up-to-date.
